These Titas went further out for a food trip. With the help of Waze, we got to Tuny's place - a resto farm which opened to the public only in 2021. They now accept walk-ins and are open Thursday-Sunday.
Reserved and pre-ordered, we went on a Sunday and got there with several minutes to spare. Immediately, Mike welcomed us and offered to take our picture by the Tuny signboard. He was attentive throughout our stay.
We pre-ordered their bestsellers : Smoked salmon crostini - it is perfectly balanced. The smokiness of the salmon can be tasted along with the cheese. The fresh dill added a special flavor; Angus beef salpicao - beef was tender with right doneness and came with delicious sauce perfect for dipping bread; Tuny's Laksa - this is sooooo yummy! Just the right spiciness and sweetness; quality ingredients; Antonio's bandehado - had bacon, sausages, chili con Carne, fried bananas, French fries, egg and fried rice - all you'd want for a hearty breakfast and it fulfills that. The smoked bacon pops on your tastebuds; Coleslaw - has a tangy flavor and provides balance to the set of food we got ; Seafood paella - cooked just right and tasted well. I appreciated that the prawns were gutted. It shows attention to detail; Bacon mess - served with crispy chips and more bacon! All-meat paella - I think this was given to us free of charge. So of course, this was fantastic!
We had a bottle of cabernet to go with our food and lemon iced tea to quench our thirst. For dessert, we ordered Tuny's ensaymada - it came with what else - a smoked bacon! Which blended well with the sinfulness of the rich ensaymada; Banana fritters - coated and smothered in sugar candy. So good!
As we practically had the place to ourselves, we were able to linger a bit more. We also saw some of their "farm" animals and garden. Tuny, himself, chatted with us and checked how we found the food.
Overall Tuny RestoFarm is a relaxing place with lush greenery all around. It delights the senses and more than satisfies your tummies. Each dish seems to be cooked with joy and...

Booked a night ahead (easy through their viber number). When we got there, it was a pleasant surprise to see that we basically had the place to ourselves. It was 12:15pm on a Sunday, mind you. And, there to greet us, was Chef Tuny himself. What a treat.
As we were ordering, I told my dad that the person who greeted us was the chef/owner and my dad immediately walked towards to strike up a conversation.
As they chitchatted, we soaked up the place. The garden looked well taken care of, and the weather was nice, so we strolled the farm a bit. They had a few ducks and a pig and some nice plants—even a mulberry tree. Chef mentioned they use homegrown veggies.
The food arrived one by one and… wow… everything was delicious. I especially loved a few things: the angus beef salpicao (jusko ang lambot), the spicy laksa, the ensayamada, and the inasal’s bbq’d chicken skin and atchara (probably the best atchara I’ve had???).
Chef made it a wonderful experience for the whole family. He gave my niece some feed for the ducks and even said “Lily and I are friends”. (Inggit ako. Sana friends rin kami ni Chef.) My niece calls him “Tuny Chef”.
Chef Tuny also generously took my dad—an architect—and us on a short tour around their bed and breakfast rooms! They had 3 rooms and each corner had a touch of love and warmth. Chef has an exquisite eye for architecture.
My dad said he loved the place and the experience.
I did too.

Read moreWe went there on a Saturday weekend, purely basing on Google reviews & photos. I messaged them literally last minute lol (we were 15 minutes away), not knowing it’s (not as strictly) by reservation. They were responsive via SMS & Call and still was able to accommodate 12 of us by buying them a bit more time to vacate seats. The road on the way seem very sketchy, as if there’s nothing to see at the end of the road. Passing the chapel, you keep going straight (since there are no signages) and trust what Google maps says, further than the red gate and you’ll be greeted by the hidden gem that lies behind the wooden gate. I hope they can provide physical signages for first time goers since we also had a vehicle back out when they saw the seemingly endless dead road ahead 😅
Very quiet and serene place to be in touch with nature. Food is on the pricier side, tho we haven’t tried the group menu for 10+ pax (which we hoped we should have), their burger was good! I loved their pumpkin/squash soup & beef salpicao as well.
Their restrooms are surprisingly clean and quirky (a lot nicer than some public restrooms in my opinion hehe). What could be improved is their speed of service, which was actually forgivable in our case since we were still accommodated last minute and they were prompt in letting us know the situation - they were understaffed at the time & quite fully booked.
Overall, nice place, good food & hoping to be back with prior advise/reservation...
