Well I finally after two years was able to get to this venue. I was not disappointed. I wanted to come here really to try the Thai cuisine. Most places that I've tried tried to make Thai food but fell short of the taste. The venue is kinda hidden behind a large swimming pool. There was a sign that said go this way. 😁😁😁 Very nice atmosphere and the staff was extremely professional and courteous. The menu had a assortment of items both Thai and Filipino food. My "larb" actually tasted like Thai larb 😋😋😋😋😋😋 and the Thai chicken tasted like Thai chicken. Spring rolls were great and my wife's beef kare kare had a great taste. Wife said the pineapple shake was real 😊😊😊 good. I have never been asked if I wanted warm or cold water before 😁😁😁 that was a first. Overall it was a very pleasant experience and we will definitely be coming back.

Village Chefs by the Little Green Kitchen is an advocate of healthy Asian cuisines. For starters, I would suggest you go for the Tom Yum Goong. Warning, it's hot and spicy and it's a good warm up for the main course. A lot of restaurants in Tacloban serve crispy Kangkong but Village Chefs' version is on a different level. It's a big hit and one of their best sellers. It's goes perfectly well with the buttered garlic scallops. They also serve Filipino classics, try the Fried BB Chicken and Kare Kare. FYI, serving time takes about 30-40 minutes but the wait is all worth it when you leave with a full and happy stomach. 😊👌 They're available on all food delivery platforms. 🛵

Good restaurant for trying something different from typical Filipino food and in a good set up. Loved the Tom Yum soup although it was not a typical tom yum soup (it had coconut milk), nontheless it was tasty and well made. Basil chicken wasn't the typical Thai chili basil chicken, but rather a different type of curry with deep fried basil over the chicken and chili stir-fry. it was ok. Overall, I was looking for a different kind of food from Filipino food and I got that. Prices are relatively high but it was expected and worth it.

Arrived at the restaurant at right before 7pm, we were the first party to arrive and order - got our food about one hour later at 8pm. After following up, staff said we were the last to be served as parties before us had their reservation. Food arrives after one hour and it was cold. It was evident they forgot about us and the food was just lying there without being served. I mentioned to the staff that the food was cold but she didn't acknowledge anything and just said it was 'kakaluto Lang' without actually acknowledging what happened and being dismissive of my comment. They also forgot about our rice that they didn't serve us any - when again I asked about the rice said they ran out as they had already served the last portion to the other table. If I hadn't asked them, we probably would have had our meal without actual rice. Actually lost my appetite did not eat the food anymore so I just paid 1800 for actual nothing. Ended up having dinner at Jollibee instead which was better honestly. Notwithstanding that 1800 was just for 2 pax and a toddler. Worst restaurant experience in Tacloban so far. Good luck.

Sidenote: they were selling random things in the restaurant like bottled goods, artisinal salt etc but when asked about the price they did not know this and wasn't actually expecting anyone to buy it. Weird...

Loved the interior of the restaurant. We ordered steamed Lapu Lapu, Kangkong salad, and sinigang na baboy na may pakwan. I've been wanting to try this place out for a while now, and it didn't disappoint. We loved the food. However, our schedule was tight for that day, and I messaged and texted our order in advance so the food would be ready by the time we arrived. Both the kangkong salad as well as the sinigang was ready by our time of arrival, but the steamed fish was not. I don't think our order was relayed properly to the staff, and we ran late for our schedule because we waited for the fish to cook. When it arrived, it was undercooked and raw inside.

Other than that, the service was good, the food and the ambience was enjoyable. Wish our order was relayed properly the first...
