It's actually a nice place, windy and a wide open space - the ambiance is similar to riverside restaurants in the provinces.
They require your vaccination cards with an ID upon entry so that's a good start.
The food stalls have yet to open so we didn't get to try any food.
The first 15mins of our stay was great, we were walking around the different huts enjoying the breeze. Stayed for a bit in Hut 8 then we decided to walk to the other side - Hut 5 to be specific.
We were by the balcony when all of a sudden, a man who identified himself as a member of the mayor's office ran towards us told us we couldn't be there since use of Hut 5 was EXCLUSIVE for the mayor.
There was no sign, no barricade of any sort BTW.
Then a security guard approached us to apologize since a group of folks moved the bench blocking the path towards Hut 5.
While we think that the good mayor may have a preference for the huts, he should still tell his staff speak to their constituents in a better way. We were treated like we were beneath them, simply for walking to the hut unknowingly "off-limits" to the public.
In summary, a good place but the staff needs proper training - or simply have a better perspective...
Read moreWe dined yesterday it rained. They closed the floating cottages because of it. I said we will not run, but this guard rudely answered me! And told us to get out of the cottage!
Key points: Pros: Food is not pricey and staffs are respectful to their customers
Cons: If it rained the cottages that the reason we went there will be closed! The REASON we went there is to eat in your cottages above your dirty water for pete's sake!
Guard(s) here are not respectful at all
Dirty water some says sometimes it stinks but fortunately we didnt experienced it because when we are inside your cottage your stulid guards instruct us to get out of it!
Conclusion:
Philippines has unstable weather condition. The rules that if it rains you get out of your cottage is pretty inconsiderate to us travelled almost two hours for it. We went there to dined inside the "floating" cottages is the REASON we travelled that long! Not to dined to your FOOD PARK! We got so many foodpark here in north, and we will not ever travel again for 2 hrs just to eat in your foodpark. We will not definitely go back here and not recommending others to...
Read moreWaiting to enter was around 5-10minutes. Vaccination card or digital proof is needed in order to enter (children are allowed). Once you enter you do get a number so I guess it has limited amount of people which can be inside. Atmosphere is amazing and it's recommended to come during the night. Lots of decorations, you have to come in order to see it as photos don't show real atmosphere (soooo many lights :)). Unfortunately not all food/drink stores are open but still there are plenty to choose from like coffee, milk tea, fruit shake and common beverages like beer, sprite, water etc... When we talk about food: chicken, beef, ramen, shrimp, chicken wings and many more. Also, to add, there are small cottages with christmas decor and a table, am not sure if that can be rented or not but it does look cute as each one is a bit...
