Was supposed to attend an early morning mass in Tagaytay today but my alarm, strangely, did not sound off as set so we went straight to Tagaytay Highlands instead. Before I start what I have to say about Concha’s let me gush first about the roads (read: skyways!) that now lead to this place. It was my first time to drive through CALAX (after 2 years being locked down in quarantine!) and I should say it went as smooth as a breeze…then taking that new bridge that shortened the trip to Highlands was definitely very convenient; not to mention enjoying the misty roads that only remind you of the bogs in the real Highlands (Scotland!) The good thing about Concha’s at Highlands is that it is exclusive to members. No need to claw your way through hungry patrons who considers breakfast as the most important meal of the day. The ambience exudes old rich (really old, including the bathroom and its fixtures) but the best thing about this place is the open space concept that allows you to breath in and enjoy the wonderful morning air Tagaytay is blessed with. We had the platter breakfast that consisted of 4 cups of sinangag, 4 cups of brewed coffee and a big platter of the regular Filipino breakfast fanfare (longganisa, daing na bangus, danggit, tapa, tocino, danggit, fried eggs and all those bad cholesterol to be consumed by 2 people). The berry shake (strawberry, blueberry and raspberry) something to look forward to. It was nice to see Tagaytay again! Traffic could be horrendous especially during lunchtime but it was worth the trip after 2 years!

Tucked away in the tranquil mountain resort of Tagaytay Highlands, Concha's Garden Cafe exudes a rustic charm that transports you to a bygone era. The ambiance is warm and inviting, with open-air dining areas that allow you to soak in the awe-inspiring vistas of the surrounding mountains. Vintage decor and well-manicured gardens add to the nostalgic and romantic atmosphere, creating a sense of tranquility. The food at Concha's Garden Cafe is a mixed bag. The Pork Tocino and Chicken Adobo Flakes were packed with authentic Filipino flavors that delighted the taste buds. The Tuna Omelette offered a unique twist, with tender chunks of tuna adding a burst of flavor. The Champorado, a local breakfast favorite, was a rich and indulgent treat, perfect for satisfying a craving for something sweet. However, the real star of the show was the Iced Cafe Mocha, a decadent concoction that was a coffee lover's dream. The rich and creamy blend of coffee and chocolate was a heavenly indulgence, particularly in the morning. While the service was a bit slow and the prices slightly on the higher side, Concha's Garden Cafe is worth a visit for its serene setting and distinctive culinary offerings that capture the essence of Filipino cuisine.

Good food, great view, nice weather. They offer all day breakfast and filipino house specials: crispy pata, sisig, bulalo, silogs, ang more. They have a variety of juices and beers. We like to stay at the alfresco area to enjoy the air. Lots of greenery to see. Enjoy!
