I love TBC. the food is delicious, it's affordable, and there's a wide range of choices. Honestly, my family and I love going there, my friends and I love going there, if I have friends visiting from out of town, I bring them there. I would always love TBC.
But on Monday, I went there alone after, tired after running errands. I ordered my second favorite meal (bec my favorite was sold out). The only table available was a coffee table and a couch. There's a reason coffee tables are called coffee tables. It's not comfortable eating on them. I had to scrunch down to eat my food and it can get quite painful, especially if you have back problems. And I know, I sound like a whiner but I asked them multiple times if I could transfer to a regular table and they kept saying no. The thing that pissed me off, really, is there are about 10 empty tables in the other closed but can easilt be opened section. Okay so they didnt want to turn the aircon and light on. But I specifically told the staff, I dont need them on. I just wanna eat comfortably. She still said no. I am very disappointed because I go there for comfort food and I didn't even get to enjoy my meal because my back hurt the whole time.
Customer service means going above and beyond. I wasnt asking for an impossible thing. They could've let me use their table in the closed-off section or brought out a table from the closed-off section and placed it in the open section. There are so many small simple ways to help your customers out.
I still love TBC and I think eventually, I will return but not soon. I feel kinda betrayed because I'm a loyal, raving customer who advocates for them every chance I get and they couldn't even give me 15 minutes to...
Read moreLearn about the history of Rizal Province while dining in this surprisingly decent cafe tucked in nondescript J. Asilo street, just a stone's throw away from busy main road, Rizal Avenue, Taytay.
Diners here like to hangout, sip their coffee, fruit tea, milk tea along with their cakes and pastries.
We came here for late lunch, stomachs ready for a big meal. So we ordered lasagna Php99, clubhouse Php119, Angus beef silog Php89, buffalo wings platter Php229 and a slice of blueberry cheese cake Php99.
Prices are affordable, food is surprisingly good, but most commendable is the service! You dont need to wait for a long time for your food to be served The servers are quite attentive too, ready to please their guests and offer suggestions since their menu is quite extensive.
We weren't in a mood to be adventurous with food, but the "Taytay delicacies" seem to be interesting - Lauya (pork soup), Crispy Talibubu (fried cream dory fish), Adobong Taytay (sweet & garlicky pork simmered in soy & vinegar). Definitely will try these the next opportunity we come to this place.
One thing quite noble in this place is the owner's advocacy to hire out-of-school youths. It's actually a place you can spend your money on good food, at the same time do some social outreach.
So the next time you're in Taytay (or Angono, where they have a branch) google map or waze this place up. Indeed, some places are worth the detour and effort to find. TBC Restaurant will not disappoint your extra venture.
ps. Do leave a generous tip. The...
Read moreI’ve been a loyal customer since 2015, and I can honestly say that your food has never disappointed me. One of the dishes I always look forward to is your Lauya, it’s so comforting and flavorful, and I really appreciate that the taste hasn’t changed throughout the years. Consistency like that is rare, and it shows how much you value quality.
On top of the great food, your customer service has always been top-tier. Every time I dine here, your staff is friendly, attentive, and welcoming, which makes the whole experience even better. I honestly think they deserve to have a service charge because of how well they take care of customers.
Overall, I really love eating at your restaurant, not just because of the food, but also because of the warm and positive atmosphere you’ve maintained. It’s always a place I recommend to friends and family, and I’m happy to keep coming back for...
