Amongst the waitress and the kitchen staff, they managed to get probably every item of my order wrong. Firstly, I repeated twice to the waitress, that I'd like to order a starter, the fried calamari and I would love to have a small Craft Beer Pilsner with that. FOLLOWED by a Red Thai Curry, which came with either Naan or Roti. In addition, as it comes without rice, I ordered a portion of plain rice. Now, the beer arrived. It was 500ml, so the large one. The calamari arrived, fried to a crisp! It could have been pork crackling, for all I know. Needless to say, I ate two rings with a big swig of beer, as it was dry as hay. 2 minutes(!) later the curry arrived. Even the waitress was aware of coming out too early, as she said, "I know it's a bit soon", and it was accompanied by a buttered flour tortilla! Lol Not Naan, not Roti! I mean having a Thai curry pairedwith Indian flatbreads is one thing, but bringing out a rolled up flour tortilla! Lol Needless to say, I finished the curry, which was fine by the way, but without receiving the ordered rice. Of course, when I paid, the rice was charged! I told the waitress and she apologized. Not her fault, just never received any training! Poor management! Anyway, wouldn't go back! Not value for money and some quirky, fluorescent wall art doesn't make it a hip place with overrated food and...
Read moreThe taste of the food is amazing! I really love their pad thai.
First time I had their food was take out. Portion was worth it for the price. Picture below is half of the take out on my plate. I really enjoyed it, that I wanted another take-out the next day. So I went there and entered the place and there was no one there. The owner came out from the kitchen and took my order of Shrimp Pad Thai. I just took the plastic bag (confident of my order). When I did open it, it was horrible! The noodles were uncooked and I did not get any tools such as chopstick (which it came with the first time).
Because I love the taste of the Pad Thai, I decided to give it another chance (despite the risk of uncooked noodles). I messaged their Facebook Page and no body replied for more than an hour. I tried calling the given number from their page and can't be reached. By that time, there was no point for ordering so I said, "Nevermind".
All my message were just seenzoned from the page. If you want to try the food, you have to risk a lot of other factors. So here are some tips: Go for dine-in. (NO TAKE-OUT!) Bring your own entertainment. (The place doesn't have much...just some Christmas lights) Wear something light. (It is an open place with no aircon.) If you do get take-out, check your order first...
Read more1 out of 3 is not good enough, sorry
I went there after some promising pictures I saw online. I ordered Shrimp Pad Thai and Pork Vindaloo. Both had excellent taste and value for money. I even ordered another Pad Thai for Take out, and my daughter loved it. So that visit would have been a 4.0 out of 5. One point down, as other than the chef, nobody of the staff appeared to be semi-interested in customers, not even saying “hello”, and I had the feeling to interrupt them somehow with sitting there. Chef, was lovely and very attentive, though!!! A few days later, my daughter went there for Pad Thai take-out Pasta not cooked, and basically not edible. A “sorry Ma´am” was all which followed. 1 Point.
Two days ago, I messaged them for take out ahead of time, no reaction whatsoever for 50 minutes. I also tried to call their published number multiple times. “Out of coverage area”. As I was at the place myself before, I know that there is no issue with phone signals. Well, after roughly an hour, I recognized that the previous sent messages were read, however, no answer, or reaction again. 1 Point.
It is actually sad, because the place has great food, if someone is actually there or cooking it correct That makes from 3 tries an average...
