I read several positive and negative reviews before coming here. Some said good, some commented about the lack of hospitality and poor service.
True enough, the staff were not hospitable or welcoming. No water was served upon being seated, not even while eating. When our food arrived, the table wasn’t set — no spoon or fork in place — and the staff had to go back to the kitchen to get them after leaving our orders on the table.
No one seemed to be paying attention to the diners; it was difficult to get their attention if you wanted to order more or ask for anything. Two staff members were inside the counter, both occupied — one on her phone and the other seemingly doing nothing. I even wanted to go up to the counter myself to order a glass of wine, but my husband reminded me that it should be the staff’s job to attend to guests.
There was also no effort to set the ambiance — no table napkins, no tissue, no candles or any lighting to transition from day to night. As for the food, the bruschetta had raw red onions and came as a sort of DIY version with no olive oil, which was odd. I’m glad I didn’t order pasta; I doubt I would’ve liked it. The mashed potato came plain, without gravy, and was just boring to eat.
Overall, it was a disappointing experience — we won’t be coming back. The staff needs training or a refresher course. And remove the "I don't care anymore" attitude. There were hundreds of restaurants to go to but we chose you, but it wasn't...
Read moreI really don't like giving negative reviews, and I try hard to find the good side of everything. I love this place and have had many good meals here in the past, but today we ordered pizza for the first time, and unless they make improvements, it will be the last pizza we have there. The 2 pizzas we ordered here, I'm sorry to say we're the worst we've ever had. They said the size was 12inch, but they were just 10inch. Couldn't taste any pizza sauce, the cheese was orange and runny, and pizza cheese is always Mozzarella. The crust was the kind that comes frozen in the grocery store, and it was burnt in several spots. Like I said I try to find something good in everything, so I will say that the Hawaiian pizza had a lot of pineapples, which was nice to see. I still recommend this place because the owner works hard and has made some amazing upgrades to his already great location, and I'm sure we just got unlucky today ordering the pizzas. Hopefully it will be...
