My brother mentioned that one of the reviews believed that the food here is Michelin grade quality. I of course felt very positive about this and wanted to try it myself.

The food itself is wonderful but Michelin must mean small because the portions are really quite Modest. I am a relatively small person so I am quite easily sated but in this case I really left the place hungry.

A bit of a shame because in most polish restaurants I've been in, the portions are hearty enough.

My brother had the goulash and they only filled like 1/5 of the bowl, if that. It only had like three or four scoops and it just felt weird like....how much more money can you realistically save by serving such small portions? Why not put at least enough goulash to fill half of the bowl?

Quite a big disappointment with the goulash but at least I had the hunter's stew which was great. Still would have loved a bigger portion otherwise what's the point of the huge plate? Like seriously even the dumplings themselves took almost as much space as the course itself and they are just a side....

When you first come in, this place draws you in with its calm and relaxed ambiance. It rubs off on dogs too - if you don't see them serenely sleeping on the floor with their flews flatly on the ground, you only become of their presence when the owners get up to leave. The room's corners are lined with cosy benches where you can prop yourself up by plenty of small pillows. The host seems relaxed and low key, yet the appearance belies the precision and efficiency behind how this place is being run. The menu looks fairly standard for a traditional Polish restaurant with the addition of some sous vide items. Everything I tried has been expertly prepared and the quality did not vary day to day. Žurek was just exceptional as were pork tenderloin and the sous vide sirloin. As far as the meals' sizes go, one main entry was more than enough for three seniors. During my stay in Jelenia Góra, Kucie Smaku was the go to place to get dinner and is reason enough to want to come back to...

The food was more than JUST amazing, it was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! The meat MELTED in my mouth like a bomb of flavours, the salads were absolutely flavourful and tasty and the extras on the side were very good too! The staff was amazing, kind and very fun to talk with. The slow jazzy/elevator-style covers of well-known songs were very RELAXING and SOOTHING and that mixed with the decor and interior made you feel WARM and COZY right as if you were at home in a wooden cabin. You do have to wait for your food a bit, but it's made with such care and thought that it definitely IS WORTH the wait. NEVER have I had food so amazing and I am kind of saddened I won't get to eat it again until next time I come to visit Poland. Just absolutely AMAZING and I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND to...
