McDonald's — Restaurant in Oświęcim

I’m a 52 year old American and I’ve traveled all over the planet. This is, by far, the nicest McDonalds I’ve ever been to (and number 2 isn’t even close). My wife and I stopped by on our way to Auschwitz because she had a cold and wanted some tea. She was given a tea cup, a saucer, a small pitcher of hot water, a freaking linen lace doily and was “presented” an ornate wooden tea selection box to choose her preferred tea bag from. We had a terrible experience at this McDonald’s. We waited for over an hour for our food, which is completely unacceptable for a fast food restaurant. After an hour, we tried to speak with the manager, Anja, to understand what was going on. Instead of offering any help or explanation, she dismissed us and simply said, “Please wait.” In the end, we left without our food and without our money being refunded. Perfect place to have some coffee or a quick meal. It's next to Niwa (shopping mall with cinema) and relatively close to the train station and 3-5 minutes walk to a bus stop where you can get a bus to go to Krakow. You have to cross the street.
