Bulwary 1 | restauracja — Restaurant in Oświęcim

This happened 6 or 7 months ago. Me and some family friends were hungry and we heard that there is this good restaurant with an amaizing chef that was participated at Master Chef. We arrive there and we were the only ones there and a nice guy in his early 20 s greeteat us and was polite during our dinner. I orderded the supreme chicken and some water and the rest ordered burgers and pizzas. My chicken arrived and I was expecting a 30% chicken and 70% side dishes but it was more like 10% chicken and 90% side dish. As I cut the chicken I realize it s raw so I politely tell the waiter to take the plate to the kitchen and for the chef to put it 5 more minutes on the grill nothing more. He returns after 1 minute and tells me that the chef considers that the chicken is perfectly cooked so I remain surprised for a short amount of time of this arrogance. I didn t asked for the meal to be free or to bring me another one I just said in a politely manner to put it on the grill for a couple of minutes that s it. To say the least I ate some water that night but I m glad the others had a nice meal and the atmosphere was pleasant. We even tipped the waiter and overall it was mid. My biggest problem was not that the chicken was expensive or in a little amount or that it was undercooked. The problem is the arrogance and the assholeness that the chef displayed. The waiter deserves a 5 out of 5 stars but the chef deserves negative 1 out of 5 stars for his attitude. To say the least I m not going to come back...

Dzisiejszą opinię zacznę dość niestandardowo, mianowicie od obsługi lokalu. Obsługi, która urzekła nas i sprawiła, że na pewno wrócimy na kolejne pyszne potrawy!

Pan Wojciech, który był dzisiaj naszym kulinarnym przewodnikiem w tej jakże niesamowitej i smacznej wycieczce, doradził nam co według niego warto spróbować zgodnie z naszymi gustami.

Dania zostały przygotowane i dostarczone błyskawicznie (pokusze się nawet o stwierdzenie, że szybciej niż w większości sieci fastfood) a fakt, iż talerze zaraz po skończeniu jedzenia były dyskretnie sprzątane ze stołu sprawia, że czuliśmy się jakbyśmy byli jedynymi gośćmi lokalu.

Jedzenie: Pizza, Spinata Picante - czysta poezja, delikatne lecz pikantne salami, idealnie wypieczone lecz nie za suche ciasto, pyszny sos pomidorowy, z laserową precyzją pokrojona czerwona cebula i delikatna nutka bazylii. Pizza nie próbuje być na siłę "neapolitańska" przez co nie jest obwarowana wymaganiami dotyczącymi tej nazwy co sprawia, że kucharz może samemu wybrać najlepszej jakości składniki. Ocena - 10/10

Ravioli - przepyszne, cieniutkie ciasto, farsz soczysty i znakomicie doprawiony, sos holenderski - delikatny i idealnie podkreślający smak całości dania lecz nie dominujący go. Ocena - 10/10

Creme brulee - deser, który niezwykle łatwo jest zrobić po prostu źle ale tutaj? Kucharz ewidentnie zna się na swoich deserach bo tak podrasowanej i dopieszczonej wersji jeszcze nie próbowaliśmy. Dodatek kokosu i malibu i wykorzystanie szerszego ale płytszego naczynia niż zwykle sprawiło, że ten pozornie zwyczajny deser nabrał zupełnie innego wydźwięku. Ocena - 11/10

Lemoniada miód & cytryna - nie jest to może danie ale jak najbardziej zasługuje aby otrzymać własną ocenę. Odpowiedni balans słodyczy i kwasowości dał efekt niesamowicie orzeźwiającego napoju, który można spokojnie pić litrami! Ocena - 11/10

Lokal: Minimalistyczny design i prostota kształtów i dodatków podkreślają charakter tego miejsca, które moim zdaniem mocno stawia na precyzję wykonania i świeże składniki. Nie potrafię wyrazić jak bardzo cieszy mnie odpowiednie zagospodarowanie terenu przy rzece. Nigdy nie było w tym miejscu nic ciekawego poza widokiem na zamek.

Podsumowując - niezastąpione miejsce na mapie naszego miasta, pretendent do miana najlepszego lokalu w okolicy. Mam szczerą nadzieję, że kiedyś stanie się kultową miejscówką, którą każdy będzie kojarzył i opowiadał o niej znajomym. Wiem, że my...

We stumbled across this restaurant as we were driving in to park at the Hampton hotel garage. So glad we did!

I ordered a salad with grilled chicken and it was yummy. I have severe gluten intolerance and other allergies/sensitivities so I have to be selective on what I order. They couldn't guarantee no cross contamination which I understand. There is a pizza oven situated near some of the tables.

My son enjoyed his meal as well.

We both ordered tea and they were good.

The service was great and our food came out quickly. I usually have to ask a lot of questions and the server was patient and polite. The atmosphere was very inviting and I enjoyed the music selection. We didn't have a reservation and were able to be seated right away. Several people were eating and enjoying...
