Was für eine Überraschung. Ich war erst einmal ohne große Erwartungen hinein gegangen, weil die letzte deutsche Kritik von vor einem Jahr vernichtend war. Es wurde sich über mangelnde Sprachkenntnisse des Personals echauffiert. Unfassbar arrogant aus meiner Sicht. Solche Personen sollten in Deutschland bleiben, wenn sie ausschließlich Deutsch sprechen möchten.

Von außen sieht das Restaurant relativ unscheinbar aus. Die erste positive Überraschung gab es als es über eine Treppe in einen gemütlichen Keller hinab ging. Wir bekamen einen netten kleinen Tisch in der Ecke. Die Bedienung sprach kein Deutsch oder Englisch aber wir konnten trotzdem gut unsere Bestellung aufgeben.

Wir bestellten als Vorspeise das Rindertartar und die Gulaschsuppe. Das Tartar kam sehr hübsch angerichtet und sah phantastisch aus. Es war dunkelrot.

Die Suppe war reichlich, mit zartem Rindfleisch und viel frischem Gemüse. Und leicht scharf. Zum nachschärfen wurden Jalapeños gereicht.

Ich glaube, dass das Rindertartar aus einem Filet zubereitet wurde. Es war geschmacklich und optisch sehr gut. Das beste, was ich auf unserer Polenreise je hatte.

Zum Hauptgang bestellte mein Mann die Haxe in Biersoße mit Sauerkraut und Kartoffeln. Ich gönnte mir das Sirloin Steak mit Zuckerschoten und Kartoffelgratin.

Was dann kam, war die nächste positive Überraschung. Es war ein Filetsteak und sicherlich mit Sirloinsteak falsch in die englische Karte übersetzt. Ich hatte es medium rare bestellt und so kam es auch, vielleicht teilweise ein bisschen mehr rare. Es war butterzart. Es schmeckte großartig.

Die Haxe war ebenfalls sehr gut und anders als in anderen polnischen Restaurants die Kruste ein wenig knusprig. Der Star war aber das Steak.

Der Service war sehr freundlich und trotz der Sprachbarriere hatten wir einen schönen Abend und wurden aufmerksam bedient.

Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt und gingen glücklich nach Hause. Wenn ich könnte würde ich mehr...

First the positives. The restaurant looks really nice, it's cozy and have a few tables outside on the Rynek. The service was fast and friendly. Our appetisers like Cappacio and calamari was good, especially the cappacio.

For the main courses we had 2 T-bone of pork with steak fries and cucumber salad. The steaks were dry, and the only bit of flavour was from the seasoning not the meat itself, and the steak fries were not cooked properly which was really disappointing.

I would not come back however don't read this review as if the food is un eatable because that's certainly not the case. Prices were good though,...

Fine dining right on the town square. It was a little pricy for a small town in Poland, but cheap by Western standards especially for the quality. Food was good. I had the roasted duck and a beetroot soup, baked meriegne with berries for dessert. My dad ordered the pork loin, which had a really good cream sauce. They offer "blooming" tea, which is a novelty item. Good beer choices as well. Enjoyed the food. Attentive waitresses, so the service was good too.
