Siuchajsko — Restaurant in Zakopane

Updated 2017, the restaurant continuous to deliver good food and fast service. Though at times in peak season and times can get very busy. Live local music is always played later in the evening which gives a great atmosphere. I don't think however I'll be booking a stay at there accommodation due to my previous experience (you can read below)! Everything else was most enjoyable.

2014 visit I've been to this restaurant many times over the years and so this year with our baby we wanted to stay at their hotel next door, which we booked many months in advance. However just a month when we were supposed to have come over with flights booked and travel, we were asked to leave because now they had a wedding!!! This caused us much distress and panic to find alternative accommodation at the last minute. We also noticed they changed their terms and conditions on their website so were left hanging with out any compensation. Even though we enjoyed the restaurant they seem to have poor customer care and put money before their customers. What a shame on them for causing us so much...

I have been to this restaurant plenty of times over the past few years. One thing that stands out is the food quality and diversity. Some dishes are well-known in this region but they can be served in different ways, so pork ribs do not taste the same everywhere you go. In here I found them particularly tasty with a mustard and honey glaze. I also had lamb the other day that was extremely delicious (picture attached). As for the service it was prompt and nice. No complaints. Also, there is a lot of space and some sort of children's corner, so it is definitely a family-friendly establishment. The restaurant is just by the main road, so when you are starving after a hike at Koscieliska or Chocholowska Valley, I would certainly stop by, especially that there is lots of parking available. Food is not bad, but service sucks! Long wait for the waitress to come and take our order. Long wait for food, and even had to wait long for the bill... was the restaurant busy? Not at all. Waitresses chatting and eating nibbles behind the bar when we had asked for a bill, and this never came! We had to get up from our table and go to the bar ourselves to get the bill ... obviously the waitress was in shock when we did that! She thought we'll just walk out! (Not that it didn't cross my mind!) Also, found it very rude that you speak to them in English and they keep replying in Polish even though you tell them you don't understand! Can't beleive they have a 4.3 rating on google! NOT...
