Found this lovely restaurant through a Google search of the area when visiting in our motorhome. Just a short (less than 10min) walk away from the motorhome overnight parking area.
We were made to feel very welcome with friendly and attentive service.
They offer a mix of Indian and Italian food which is great. We were in the mood for pizza and we weren't disappointed! We shared a starter of tomato and mozzarella which was simple yet fresh and tasty- the olive oil they used had a beautiful taste. I had tuna calzone which was amazing and my hubby had a meat pizza- both were cooked to perfection and such a generous size that we took the rest away to enjoy for lunch the next day! The Portuguese Red wine was lovely too!
I wish we were staying longer so that we could eat there again this evening to try the Indian food!
One of the nicest dining out experiences we have had in a long...
Read moreIt was an amazing gastronomic experience! I personally love Indian food and I can say for sure that it was one of the best Indian restaurants I went so far. The spices were very harmonious with the food, all very mixed up. I tried the vegetarian butter curry and it was amazing and soft, but even if I didn't wanted that one, they have a lot of other vegetarian options. My boyfriend tried the saag lamb and he loved it (and he usually doesn't like Indian food in general, but he said that was one of the best thing he ate in a while). The service was so friendly and welcoming. The place is very nice, the aesthetic is very portuguese but it just turns the place special itself. 😉 In summary, if you go to Alcobaça and are craving some non Portuguese food, you need to try this place. Very good and I hope the come to...
Read moreWhat a wonderful location—just a stone's throw from the monastery, and home to a warm, welcoming Indian family restaurant. The chef is truly outstanding, and his brothers are incredibly friendly and helpful, making you feel right at home.
We arrived unannounced with a group of seven, yet we were welcomed with open arms and treated to the best service and meals we had during our four-day stay in Portugal. The curries were absolutely delicious—rich in flavor, with fresh herbs and spices that you could truly taste and distinguish. Everything was clearly homemade and bursting with freshness.
Highly recommended for anyone seeking authentic Indian cuisine and heartfelt hospitality in a...
