We were staying in Alcoutim for a month and it was almost 2 weeks into our stay when we discovered Beiro Rio. I say discovered, we avoided it because it is opposite the River with a beautiful terrace and expected it to be priced according to it's location and upmarket fascia. Contrary to our expectations the restaurant served a well chosen and varied menu, traditional and bistro food side by side. Every meal well presented and cooked with pride and consistency, for a very reasonable price. The Menu is in four languages but if you need help with this the waiter is very happy to explain in fluent English and with patience. All I have left to say is if you are looking for a quality, reasonably priced lunch or Coffee with a cake in, Beiro Rio would be my first recommendation...

The food is delicious (get the goat cheese and honey tapas!), and the drinks cold.
