⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐👍🏻👍🏻 Great food, Great environment, awesome staff! Chef JP is a chef with Vision; tradicional gastronomy, that allows us to identify and also recognize all the flavors and scents of the home cooked meals, with a personalized touch in fusion cuisine. Read moreWe had dinner at santola. The reception could have been friendlier, especially if you are unsure where to sit now. Not everyone from the staff greeted but just stared. However, the previous phone call with one of the staff was very pleasant and informative for that. It is not the most beautiful interior but still cozy. The service at dinner was impeccable. It was clean. Unfortunately, we found the background music inappropriate for such a restaurant, on a rainy autumn day. We ordered olives and moreia as an appetizer, which was really tasty. For the main course we went for the seafood rice with crab, shrimp and mussels. This was freshly prepared and came after about 30 minutes. Until the food came we did enjoy a medronho which is good here and really cheap. The rice stew was tasty and is really sufficient for 2 people. The crab was maybe a little too long cooking but otherwise it was delicious. We paid about 50€ for everything. I would probably...
Read moreWe had a wonderful meal at O Santola our first night in the area. We weren't sure what we wanted or even how to order the seafood we wanted. The man that helped us was friendly and so helpful. Our food was delicious. We had such a wonderful experience that we went back for dinner for our last night in Portugal. The first night we had two grilled fish which we got to pick from a selection of fish the man brought to show us. The fish was perfectly grilled, they came with a side salad and a big plate of just right steamed vegetables and boiled potatoes. Plus, for dessert we had a flan like pudding drizzled with a delicious liquer. I will admit to secretly licking the plate clean, it was that good. The second night we went back we shared a pot of seafood rice/stew. It was a generous portion for two. Accompanying the rice, was a homemade hot sauce! I can't fully describe how wonderful each dinner was. It...
