Out in Almada, looking for an evening meal, I found this cafe with quite a few locals drinking beer or coffee, but no-one actually eating a meal. I asked what food they had and was offered sandwiches or steak and chips. I asked for the steak and was seated at a table with my beer - together with olives, bread, butter and sardine pate. The meal arrived remarkably quickly with steak topped with a fried egg and a few onions, chips, rice and salad. At first I thpught the steak was about the size of the fried egg, but soon found it stretched under the chips, too. All hot (except the salad!) and very tasty. A further beer was required.
