O Chico os 3 Reis — Restaurant in Almada

Recommended to visit by our AirBnb host. Packed tables on a Wednesday evening with local resident families and friend groups. Google translate was our friend here, bit of an adventure and delicious roulette. We're warned that the mixed seafood, meat and fruit boards would serve 4 people.

Opted for cuttlefish and dorada which both came with a huge mound of garlic spinach and some boiled potatoes. Weren't quite sure what the shrimp and monkfish with rice would be but turned out to be a huge steaming pot of deliciously seasoned rice with chunks of monkfish and king prawns. Served 2 of us and we took home the leftovers for 3 more meals! Wait staff were efficient and friendly and tried really hard with us not speaking Portuguese.

Went here a few weeks ago but forgot to review. If you are looking for a proper Portuguese feast, look no further! This place will blow you away, not much variety in the menu, they grill everything, giving it a signature flavour. We order the mixed meat platter for two which included 3 types of pork, 2 types of beef and shrimp, everything was delicious and could easily feed 4 people so be aware of how much you order so nothing goes to waste. A busy and known restaurant in the Charneca de Caparica. Food is average good but comes in too generous portions. Even the half dose of some of them are big. The quality is not the best but acceptable. The price is not expensive for the portions. They don't have parking, but you may find parking place in street. It's accessable with public transport. Has bathroom. The staff are nice and helpful but could be faster in serving.
