After coming here a few times and having good experiences, last time was awful, the man that took our orders did not know what type of meat was available and ended up bringing us the wrong one, for his mistake, it took us 2 hours to have the food, by that time the side dishes were already cold and that's all we could have. We were blamed for this mistake and the employee even came to our table to argue with us.
I am a professional as well and, as a human, I am entitled to make mistakes, what is not acceptable is to blame others for our lack of professionalism. If this was my work ethic, I would not have a job at all.
My group and our families have been clients for months, the disrespect by the employee was outrageous, especially in this holiday season, Peixe Boi lost us as local customers and I won't be recommending this place anymore. Dos pratos selecionados - cabeça de garoupa, espetada de picanha, sardinhas, filetes de robalo, arroz de choco - todos com muito boa apresentação e doses bastante razoáveis. Os acompanhamentos são bem escolhidos.
O arroz de choco é com tinta e bastante saboroso. Quem quiser picante, basta pedir ou adicionar à posteriori. A espetada de picanha tem apresentação semelhante aos rodízios de carne e com a gordura tostada.
Para a seleção dos vinhos, a experiência é inédita. Entrar na sala de tintos e ver toda a seleção disponível, onde basta escolher a garrafa, toma nota e depois abrem-na à mesa. A seleção de brancos está em frigoríficos para ir fresco para à mesa.
Na dúvida das carnes e peixes, entre os expositores de vinho existem duas bancadas - uma de peixe e outra de carne - como se tivessem numa peixaria e talho. Tudo identificado para ajudar na escolha conforme o apetite e, ou, desejos.
As difículdades foram duas: escolher o que comer - porque a carta é interessante - e o que beber - gama vasta de tintos e de brancos interessantes, incluindo vinhos moldavos.
