For those who like it sweet (very, extremely sweet) I do suggest you try what they call Conventual. An overdose of eggs sugar and almonds. Not pricy.

The staff were exceptionally welcoming, and the restaurant offered exemplary Alentejo cuisine. I highly recommend a visit. My only suggestion would be to enhance the seasoning of the grilled pork, which lacked a bit of zest; otherwise, the dining experience was flawless.

We were the only English speaking patrons in the place and the owner, who was the only staff with any English ability took great personal care of us. Great fish and pork, with a salad and sides for €20. And a quarter litre of Vinho Verde for...
