First of all: The food is excellent – very tasty and of high quality.

Our experience was a bit spoiled: We (2 persons) had several appetizers and wanted to share one steak as the main course. We clearly pointed to the regular steak (about 18 EUR) and said that we wanted one to share. The waitress spoke well English and we were positive that she understood what we wanted. Then we received the steak and it war enormous. We had struggle to finish it and were wondering how this could only be 18 EUR. When we got the check, it turned out that it was the T-bone steak for 35 EUR. I asked politely about the reasons. The waitress responded that the regular steak is only for one person and would have not been enough for two. But we ordered more appetizers - so it would have been enough.

We felt a bit overreached and left with very mixed feelings.

Seems like it is always bad if a village / town has only three restaurants – which assume that you as a tourist will not be likely to return. This may be true, but we still write online...

Beautiful restaurant inside!

My partner and I dropped by late on a Tuesday evening and were warmly greeted and seated.

We were then explained the small but excellent menu (with english translation) and we selected the steak meal for 2.

It did not disappoint. Gorgeously cooked rare over a charcoal grill served with a plentiful helping of batatas fritas and heavenly rice (heavily seasoned with bay leaf).

The wine selection was also great and reasonably priced. We enjoyed a local vino verde and a nicely priced Noia (red).

Our host was kind and attentive throughout, it was especially impressive considering she had 4 x other couples dining who all spoke different languages.

Overall i think it was excellent value for money and a very pleasant experience.

I would recommend bringing cash as the card machine is a bit unreliable.

We arrived around 2pm and we waited about one hour to have a table.

When we order the food, the waitress was really nice ( we order salmon and meat ). However, one hour later they came to our table to tell us that they didn't have salmon anymore. Which to me is unacceptable because they knew that way before the hour passed.

Futhermore, we asked for the meat to be well done and we got it rare and we got our appetizer at the same time we got the meat.

Overrall, i didn't like the experience and i don't...
