We had two meals here and stayed the night as well. Excellent place. Great food and outstanding hosting by Antonio. Highly recommend.

Antonio has two rooms that he only rents to people walking the Camino Portugues (2 in one room, 4 in the other. We had the double for 20 euros), a cafe/bar and fancy restaurant. We had a very enjoyable afternoon and evening together in the cafe, listening to Fado music, with Leonard Cohen slipped in (he’s very popular in Portugal). Dinner was served to all six of us gathered around a big table: a simple pilgrim meal (soup, a rice/bean mixture and delicious pastelisco de bacalao (salt cod fritters). Such a...

We ate lunch and dinner in this exceptional establishment as we were staying in Pedra Furada. While the food and service were excellent on both occasions it was the humble presence of Antonio that made the day for us pilgrims (me, my partner, my daughter and my 12 year old football playing granddaughter). If you are looking for grace, humility and humour along with an excellent meal this is definitely the place to be. Obrigada António. Ps: Annika will definitely be back with her younger cousin before too long...

A really nice experience... until shortly before I left. Amazing cozido à Portuguesa, friendly owner and yound waitress... but the two older ladies were sooo unfriendly. I really felt they wanted to finish their day. They were very rude in their behaviour. After 2 months of walking, I am sick of this kind of people. They have no clue what a pilgrimage is about. And they aren't a good publicity for their country (which is full of nice people and places) and for...

Antonio and his family are amazing hosts offering delicious meals and a warm, welcoming environment, whether in the more laid back section or fine dining á la carte. We enjoyed our Pilgrim’s meal and local wine verde. A must stop for pilgrims and anyone visiting the Barcelos area and needing a hearty meal! Celebrated their 75th anniversary last weekend! Parabèns Antonio!

Wonderful authentic Portuguese restaurant/cafe serving beautiful fresh food to the locals and the El Camino pilgrims. Good selection of drinks to be had including a beautiful white port wine. Lots of memorabilia and photos on the walls give this place a wonderful friendly feel. The staff are really friendly and helpful. Enjoy..!
