2830 Petiscos & Mariscos — Restaurant in Barreiro

We walked in late on a Sunday evening as a group of 6 including a baby and a child under 10yo. The entrance is wheel chair accessible, with one low step, but it might be hard for a wheel chair user to move around inside the restaurant.

The restaurant has a large capacity, over 50 people. I would recommend booking, they struggled to get us a table.

They specialise in fish and seafood, so not recommended for people with seafood or fish allergies. No vegan/vegetarian options.

The food was amazing. We tried the seafood rice, a seafood soup and some grilled meats. All the food was great. One of us also tried the grilled salmon, which was excellent. Some of their dishes can be easily shared between 2 - 3 people. You can also ask to take away whatever you don't manage to eat. Good quality. The portions are maybe too big in some cases. Many people who bring leftovers with them. Also huge pile of fries for example.. No one will eat that much when having a main dish too. In my opinion unnecessary food waste. Prices are reasonable. Staff is friendly but sometimes bit unorganised.

UPDATE MAY 2023 Already wrote they are unorganised. Today was a total disaster. We ordered by phone. Would be ready at 13h for take away. When we arrived, it first took a lot of time before we got helped. Once we got the attention from the staff, we were informed our order was not ready!!. They made a mistake. They asked us to wait one hour (!!!!)

Large Portuguese restaurant. Pretty bright, if basic decor. Playing football on a few TVs scattered around the place. Staff were fast and efficient with the service.

For me the BBQ ribs had been stewed a little too long before being placed on the grill so had gone past tender to a bit mushy. I actually thought it was going to be fully cooked on the charcoal from scratch, however the flavour was nice.

Chips and rice were well cooked.

Large portions so no complaints in that regard.
