A Tentadora — Restaurant in Barreiro

Bit confusing concept. The prices are quite high and the food is really good. But for the price I also would expect a more professional service. When you enter there is not really a warm welcome. They point from behind the bar where to sit (we made a reservation).

When we asked for wine, they just pointed at the QR-code for the menu. The waiters could at least give some advice? But the choice of wine is overwhelming.. And very good wines! That's why it's even more disappointing the waiters don't have the intention to help the guests.

The food itself, very good quality, well presented and tastefull. The portions are bit small.

Then the location. Let's say it's not the most modern street in Barreiro. It's far from any upscale, it doesn't reflect the high prices of the restaurant. Although it's not needed, I can imagine not everyone will feel comfortable walking in this street/neighbourhood. The restaurant itself is nice, clean and quite well maintained. But for the price I would love a bit more...

We loved the experience, waitresses were very kind and helpful. We started with excellent olives, codfish & chickpea salad and Carapaus de Escabeche. For main course we chose arroz de polvo (octopus rice) and fried ray with garlic rice (amazing). Cosy interior and and...

Já conhecia este espaço de outras andanças e com outro nome e voltei a gostar de lá jantar.

O espaço é muito giro, pequeno como se quer, mantendo a traça da antiga taberna que lá existia. É vivamente aconselhável a reserva. O ambiente é agradável, estando naquela noite populado por famílias.

O staff foi simpático qb. A vinda da comida para a mesa demorou um tempo aceitável (o serviço para as mesas estava praticamente a sair todo ao mesmo tempo).

A comida é boa, boa mesmo. Experimentámos o Arroz de Línguas de Bacalhau, o Pica-pau de Vitela (vazia creio) e o choco frito. Bem confecionado e saboroso (mas aqui pode melhorar!).

A carta, tendo opções atrativas, é um pouco extensa.

A relação preço qualidade é boa – couvert, prato, copo de vinho/refrigerante…cerca de 20€ por pessoa.
