The first thing that one notes about this restaurant is its atmosphere: the view on the river from the main room is peaceful and the decorations made of flowered trees and lights is agreable. The food (we had filete de polvo com arroz de grelos) was fresh and very tasty. It's nothing out of the ordinary for a Portuguese restaurant, but it was very well executed. The dessert was of the same caliber: nothing too out of the ordinary and very good (bolo de chocolate quente com bolo de gelado de baunilha). This plus a bottle of water, a glass of wine and a coffee for two persons and two kids (who ate what we ate) was around 70 euros which is a bit on the expensive side but still correct for the quality. When we entered the restaurant we were impressed as it is beautifully decorated with a great view. But in the end we were disappointed with our experience for the following reasons : The appetizers were ridiculously overpriced, 7,5 e for two small pieces of cod and meat cake The soup... Very bland The service wasn't very professional... Our table was waited by several people who didn't seem coordinated. And our drink orders were forgotten... Didn't ask us for our opinion about the food and didn't seem to want to interact with us at all. The main course was fine but overpriced (I can compare with a lot of portuguese restaurants and have eaten better in a lot of places for a lot cheaper) All in all, very pretentious. An absolute gem in braga . We went after having been recommended it by locals .
It did not disappoint . The view is amazing at sunset with a view of the valley and the river .
Antonio was just a fantastic host . Warm welcoming and very charismatic .
The food was an excellent high level traditional Portuguese mix .
