Authentic, traditional Portuguese dining experience. Good quality food, with large portions at reasonable prices. Extremely popular with both locals and tourists, which makes it challenging to get a table quickly - be prepared for a wait. Making reservations is almost impossible as they often can't be bothered (or are too busy) to answer the phone. Poor service - even when you show up you have to identify and literally chase down the person to get your name on the list for a table, then stand around with the large crowd to hear your name called. Wait staff is often overwhelmed and therefore short or borderline rude at times. Service is very slow, even by Portuguese standards which we are accustomed to. Overall, the experience could be improved but they're so successful, despite the shortcomings, that I suspect nothing...
