Such a beautiful place to walk! My husband and I took our 11 month old son in his rucksack carrier and my 75 year old father.

Ample free parking at the top of the walk area, although be warned it can get rather windy up here! So bring a jacket for wearing in the more exposed areas. We took a nice slow walk along the track descending about 200m in total. The track was surrounded by some lovely trees and foliage, and occasionally had gaps opening out onto some amazing views.

At the bottom of the main track, before the two walls is the forestry hut. I would say it is much handy than a hut, offering a lovely array of quiches, sandwiches, cakes, cold drinks and hot drinks. Along with free WiFi and very luxurious seating areas, both indoors and outdoors.

We sat out on the balcony and were immediately visited by a number of the cheeky chaffinches that are in the lookout for some cake crumbs. If you put a few crumbs in your palm they will pop down and eat it out of your hands, if you're still enough they'll stay put for a photo or video!

If you're too tired after the walking to take the incline up to the car park then you can jump on a shuttle bus from the lodge up to the carpark for just €3 per person. A...

We had an incredible experience at Café Rabaçal, earning it a well-deserved 5-star review. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The decor was charming and cozy, creating the perfect setting for a relaxing coffee break or a delightful meal.

The highlight of our visit was undoubtedly the outstanding service. The staff was exceptionally attentive and friendly, making us feel welcome and valued throughout our stay. They went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed, and their recommendations were spot-on.

The coffee was superb, brewed to perfection with rich, robust flavors that satisfied even the most discerning palate. We also sampled a variety of pastries and light dishes, all of which were fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. The attention to detail in both the food and the overall experience was evident and greatly appreciated.

Overall, Café Rabaçal exceeded our expectations in every way. The combination of magnificent service, exceptional coffee, and a delightful ambiance made for a truly memorable visit. We highly recommend Café Rabaçal to anyone looking for a top-tier café experience. We can't...

Wonderful Café amidst Nature

The café is nestled in the midst of breathtaking natural surroundings, providing an oasis of tranquility and relaxation. The first impression was impressive, as the café instantly caught my attention with its rustic charm and picturesque location. The atmosphere was laid-back and inviting, and the friendly staff warmly welcomed me.

The café's menu was diverse, offering a range of freshly prepared food and refreshing beverages. The ingredients were clearly of high quality, and the dishes were presented with meticulous attention to detail. I had the pleasure of enjoying a flavorful coffee, delicious homemade cakes and homemade lemonade, which were simply exquisite.

What truly sets this café apart is its location. From the outdoor terrace, I had a stunning view of the surrounding nature. It was a true delight to hear the gentle sounds of nature and savor the fresh air while sipping my coffee. It felt like a true piece of paradise.

The staff members were attentive and friendly.

The spinach quiche and pastel de nata are very good. The place is a bit pricey, but it’s worth it for a once-in-a-lifetime visit, especially with its beautiful views.
