This restaurant came *highly* recommended by a friend who frequents Michelin recommended and starred restaurants. I usually dont leave bad reviews, but this warrants an exception. The disappointment we felt when it did not even remotely live up to the hype almost ruined the evening. They forgot the 'complementary' bread and butter (but still tried to charge us for it) The appetizer plate was basically a pile of cabbage, hiding the appetizers inside (cute, but a waste of food), and lacking any of the warm appetizers. When given feedback on this, we were informed that more people had said the same, but they apparently didn't do anything with the feedback. The platter had butter but no bread, chorizo that was hard as rock, cheeze that had mold on the outside (wasn't supposed to), and wallnuts we had to crack ourselves. The main dish wasn't bad per se, but it was definitely not worthy of a Michelin recommendation. The experience was so disappointing that we just skipped desert and coffee. All in all, it's not a *bad* restaurant, but everything felt like it is living on past glories. Not worth the long detour we made for it.

We made a detour to reach this restaurant that we found in the Michelin guide and we were happy we did. The interior is quite old style but we'll preserve with pretty rock walls. The service is without reproach. The food is typical Português. We got the entradas a Marques de Marialva (small size). It's a mix of fruits and portuguese charcuteries and cheese. The fruits (melon and pineapple) were fresh and sweet and the charcuterie was of high quality. Then we took Cabrito a padeiro for main. The meat was very well cook and delicious. It came with potatoes that were probably cooked with meat, very tasty. The price is reasonable. For two adults and a 2 yrs-old, we paid around 60€ including some wine. I recommend that you make a detour too.
