I don’t like leaving bad reviews but this restaurant is a bit let down for me in service. The food was ok, the scallops were really tasty but the pasta was bland. However, the service left a bad taste in my tongue that’s why I wrote this review The manager on the day was a young lady that dressed nicely but she ignored me the whole time. She didn’t even try to greet me or make eye contact the whole time I was there. The restaurant was pretty empty at the time so it was very noticeable her cold attitude towards me as a single diner. I felt very uncomfortable so I didn’t enjoy my time there at all. The waiter was attentive so I gave the service 3 stars, otherwise it would have been 1 star for the Service I came because there were a lot of good reviews on Google but unfortunately, it wasn’t the case for me. Wonderful evening, so lovely we went back on our last evening in Esposende, portugal. Staff spoke reasonable English, were young and helpful. They served and kept the wine flowing. Once finished, asked if we would like another bottle, rather than auto-open one. Most of our party of 8 had steak "ribeye" quote/unquote because I believe it's actually sirloin rather than ribeye that we had. But it was perfectly cooked to our preferences. The dessert on our 2nd night was possibly one of the nicest puddings I've eaten, a hot crepe type pastry filled with a custardy flavoured filling. Which was heavenly. Served with a mandarin sorbet, not the best combo I'll have to say, but lovely none the less. Best part of it was the price, 75 Euro per couple for main, dessert and 3 bottles of wine, coffees and liqueurs plus a complimentary glass of port each to celebrate one couple's 40th anniversary was fantastic value for money in my opinion! Attention to detail. Service was amazing, waiters were highly highly attentive and made you feel like a valued guest. Family run restaurant, mother and daughter in the front of the house and im sure there was more family working there. The service was amazing, but dont let that take away from the attention to detail of the food. As it says in their front page in the menu, the food is curated and service is highly important. Very tasty food. Very filling meal! Plenty of food to eat. Highly recommend this restaurant! Let the waiters take you on a culinary journey and you will be rewarded!
