Casa Rocha Melres — Restaurant in Gondomar

We visited this place today and unfortunately to our surprise after reading there reviews we was disappointed due to the fact that the menu that was handed to us was half crossed out and not many things to choose from and the things we did choose were very disappointing due to the quality of food that was presented to us the Rejoes was definitely days old and very fatty and the fries were definitely cooked and then cooked again no what I expected from a restaurant highly rated like this one.

Then the waiter also forgot our drinks in the end I said don’t worry about these as we already had finished our food.

I Would not recommend this place if you want quality food and good...

Casa Rocha in Melres is known especially for its cod fritters with tomato rice, a classic dish that can be very good. The location by the small marina is charming, although the narrow streets around it can make access a bit chaotic. This place is not a 5 star ⭐ restaurant but a 5 hearts ❤️ restaurant. I stayed in the Figurino hotel a 5-7 minute walk away but did not like the cold spirit of the Figurino, so I found this pearl at the riverbed runned by 4 generations of real Portuguese traditions and cooking. I simply had the dishes of the day and it was all great and plenty - even for a hungry man.😊 The love and spirit and taste of the place is not something you find on a menu card, and yet don’t expect a high-end a la carte place.
