Comporta Café Beach Club — Restaurant in Grândola

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Comporta Cafe, a beach lounge located in a stunning coastal setting. My experience at this restaurant was truly exceptional in every way.

First and foremost, the food at Comporta Cafe was absolutely outstanding. The seafood was exceptionally fresh and cooked to perfection, with every dish bursting with flavor. From the grilled octopus to the seafood paella, every dish was a delight to the taste buds. The menu also had a great variety of vegetarian and vegan options, which was a pleasant surprise.

The atmosphere at Comporta Cafe is like no other. The vibes are relaxed and laid-back, with a beautiful setting that makes you feel like you're on a tropical island. The outdoor seating area is surrounded by palm trees, and the sound of the waves crashing nearby creates a serene and calming ambiance.

The service at Comporta Cafe was also above and beyond. The staff were friendly, attentive, and went out of their way to make our experience memorable. They were knowledgeable about the menu and gave great recommendations on what to try.

One thing to note is that during peak season, it's important to book ahead of time, especially if you want to secure an outside table. I highly recommend booking a dinner reservation so you can watch the sunset while enjoying your meal. It's truly a magical experience.

I would also like to give a special shoutout to our server, Costa, who was absolutely fantastic throughout our meal. He was friendly, attentive, and went out of his way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. Costa's knowledge of the menu and recommendations made our dining experience even more enjoyable. Total decadence! Way too expensive for what you get and the staff isn't really nice. What I found most remarkable is that there's a sign saying you're not allowed to enter the cafe without shoes and that you can't get the cafe dirty with sand! And that at a beach 😂 Not worth repeating. The beach is truly beautiful and the sand texture is unique.

Super expensive... and the customer service is non-existent. Waiter was not friendly at all. He couldn't understand what we wanted in Portuguese nor in English. Restaurant is nicely decorated and faces the ocean. But overall, I would pass on this. Editing my review based on their response.

I'm sorry but I wasn't clear. I did not eat here on a Monday. We were here late in the afternoon on Sunday. See the attached photo of our view. I was being sarcastic in my comment on the waiter's attitude towards us ordering. I ordered a drink in Portuguese, he gave me attitude as he couldn't understand me. I ordered it in English, he gave me attitude. He said in English I don't understand. I tried again in both languages and finally had to use my hands. I think it would've helped if the DJ lady didn't have the music so loud. This one specific waiter was very rude. It's okay if he didn't understand me but the problem was his attitude and rudeness. The man that greeted us at the door was charming.
