Air BB only — Restaurant in Lagos

Marco, the owner, is really nice and checked in on our table multiple times. However, the food here was really bad. I ordered the Algarve Pork special for €9 and it was not good. It was described by Marco as pork mixed with peppers, onions, and a sauce, but in actuality it was a stew where the meat had clearly been sitting there all day. It was dry, bland, and to be honest the meat tasted dirty. The chips were fried in dirty oil and the rice side was one scoop of plain instant white rice. The salad was ok. We were there just a minute ago and the waiter didn’t said even hello. We just want to sit there and there was a lots flies that’s why we want to move up stairs. We asked with waiter and he just said , Noo…. is not possible to sit upstairs because for food they are serving only downstairs 🥱😴. In my opinion, it was same restaurant and it doesn’t matters where ever you sit🙄🙄. We accept that and we want to sit downstairs and want to join two tables together to sit for 3 people but it wasn’t possible also 🧐🤐🤐. Then we leave for it 😵. Really bad...

It's a off the beaten track where you are likely to find a diverse crowd: you will find a corner table with hippies that made me think about the 60's, and most of the diners are tourists from all over. A couple of portuguese locals seem to bookend the bar stools. The food is quite good and quite affordable. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The town is very small and time is kept by the church bells across the narrow, cobbled-stone street. This place seems to be untouched by time....
