Restaurante Atalaia - Volodymyr — Restaurant in Lagos

Good evening , just for let you know that the food it was amazing and all the staff great! Expect one of the Waiters ( skinny , brunette and not nice to the people) I asked her where the bathroom is and with an annoyed face she pointed to where it was, then she brought us the food and I asked for more bread to which she didn't look at me or even answer me, then I asked another waiter something if she could change to what she passed and told him in a very bad way no! I believe that no client deserves that treatment for nothing. I'm a waitress and I know what it's like to work but I've never treated a client like her today. I am honestly very disappointed, the treatment received by her was unpleasant.

We travelled from Dublin to Lagos and we were hungry on our arrival. We had fish and chips for our main course. My fish arrived with garlic butter as a dressing on our fish. The fish was raw and uncooked. When we pointed this out to the owner he commented that not all the fish was uncooked on my plate as I had eaten a part of it to my horror. He proceeded to charge us half for the fish ! My husband argued that we did not come to a restaurant for frozen fish / raw . He commented that it was frozen fish. We said that we could have bought that in any supermarket and that it should have been advertised on the menu as frozen fish. He could not have cared less. The owner shrugged and gave us our bill. Never again. Dreadful food. ...

My rating is subjective on what you expect. This restaurant is very popular with locals... This usually means great prices which was true. But sometimes this means poor service, which is what I felt we got. It was like we don't need you tourists.. But we will serve you I suppose . There were no menus, just what the waiter offered and a board in Portuguese. This amounted to 4 choices of pork, and fish. Well that's fine if those two choices are what you like. We chose, the pork leg was ok,but no more; my wife liked the sea bass. I know this style of eating suits some, and for them 5 star is ok, but with a town like Lagos with hundreds of restaurants, for others elsewhere may be better, including the...
