NOT a good place at all to eat....!!!!! WAY too expensive and service SUCKS!!!! They do not take any critisism of any kind. They tend to reply answers with imagined names alike Gabriel, Frank, Herold or Martin and add some fairy tale story to it....... Also be aware of a mentally sick boy, sometimes serving tables (he calls himself Ruman or Roman. He is occacionally "releast" from psychiatry. He is very ILL, but owners (parents) sometimes let him apply unknown guests...... THEY DO NOT serve ANY FRESH FOOD ! Food is cheap and bought frozen at local supermarkets. Food poisioning had been reported several times in the past by local authorities! MIND THIS PLACE !!!!!

RATS + MICE had been seen INSIDE this "PLACE". Surely NOT a restaurant !!!!!!!

Much better options in Lajes village or Santa Cruz on this island !!!!!! Snack Bar Restaurant and Casa do Rei; both in Lajes are GREAT & CLEAN....!!!!

The police is actually investigating by certain criminal activities of those Iranian/Indian people. Money laundering and drugs. They escaped from IRAN + INDIA over ITALY and run criminal activities by present...

!!!Be aware tourist!!! Beforehand!! the food was good and as expected the prices for those where shown in the menu aswell.

BUT! We ordered 3 large beers which we expected to cost as much as in the pub just two km down the road! But nope instead of 2,25€ the lady behind the counter wanted 7€ for a large beer each!

Which almost has been as much as for the food! Aswell when I said to her that it says kebabs (?!) On the receipt she wrote on the site of that beers.

As a tourist I would be really carefull and if it happens to you ask for the ,, Livro de Reclamações".

There is no excuse and explanation for tripling the prices of drinks compared to just a pub down the street! (Cafe Porto Velho)

So ask for the prices of your drinks in beforehand if you don't want to be surprised!

And sorry even though the food as said was good for that disturbing encounter I can just...

Super friendly Natalie, acorean-italian Lady, served us very friendly and nicely with the best Pizza West of Italy. The Mozzarella is daily homemade with 50 Liters of fresh acorean milk, the dow is homemade, best Pizza ever by Shira, the Master Pizzaiolo, huge Pizza choice, suuuper Recommended, from Outside the place does not look optimal, as lots of lghts are blinking in disco style, the Food is absolutely tasty and all homemade from Shira, Italian Pizzaiolo, from Roma. We come again, nice terrace Outside. Very friendly Service. The cheescake is a must try, nice and fluffy, with Berries (mora, Brombeere) from Flores Island, 8 different home made dessert cakes, delicious...

The pizza dough tasted good but we ordered a (vegan) Marinara with vegetables - and got charged 14€. The usual Marinara costs 5€. 9€ extra for these "vegetables" and 5 olives + chilli oil is just unfair expensive. Also: We ordered vegetable bruschetta without Mozzarella and got only a tiny bit of vegetables but paid the same price. We have seen photos of Marinara with vegetables on other reviews here and sadly we got something else and paid a horrendous price… also food should be less expensive if you leave out cheese.

It’s Roman Style thin crust pizza which is my favorite. I prefer this over Napoli thick crust any day. I think everyone who comes here doesn’t expect it to be so good being that it’s such a remote island. The staff are all so lovely and warm and the pizza came out way faster than what I’ve been experiencing since landing on the Azores. Taste wise is honestly really good!!! The dough is very typical well made Roman style. Highly highly recommend.
