The experience was a rollercoaster in a very good way! I read online i have to do a reservation and there is a fixed menu. So I called... the lady only spoke portoguese and I do not speak portoguese.. we managed to communicate in a magical way and all I knew was that we will have meat. We went there and the food was served straight from the oven. It was like going to have dinner in my grandma's place, if only my grandma was portoguese and not Greek... the taste was homemade and the quantity Greek.. of course we could not manage so we asked for a take away for the rest. To our great surprise when we opened the takeaway we realised that they have made us sandwiches with fresh bread and the pork leftovers. To finish our delicious meal we were served a local alcoholic drink like the Greek tsipouro in an impressive barrel. To conclude, this dinner will be missed and I really wish we had more days to try the fish plates also.. Thank you papi...

Highly recommend this family owned restaurant. You have to preorder the meals, as there are not many visitors and they need to know you are coming. You don’t have a lot of options for the main course, but the food is fresh and so delicious! Valentina is a really good cook and his niece is a perfect waitress, with a keen eye for details. The prices are fair and the starters the best we had on Flores - we got fresh baked bread on the first day, still warm from the oven, cheese from the island and homemade smoked ham sausage. For the main course we got freshly grilled fish on the first day - even served by Valentina himself and pork with pineapple on the second. I highly...

First a warning: You have to make a reservation to get a meal :) For lunch you have to make a reservation until 14:00 the day before. For dinner you have to time until 14:00 the same day.

Usually there is no real decision on the exact typenof food. You select from fish or meat and Valentina will create something wonderful. You'll get sausages and cheese as starters and lots of alcohol! The staff is very friendly and takes their work seriously. Food is served quickly and you feel like a...

This nice restaurant is run by a man and his wife. The menu is pretty much fixed, with the only choice between meat and fish (ask upon reservation). No Azorean wines, if not a white and rosé Terras de Lava. Home-styled cooking, I recommend for a cheap and comfort food at. Porto is offered upon welcome, together with a cheese and Presunto (ham) platter, and acquaardente as a farewell and digestive.
