My parents have been coming here for years, and tell me about it everytime they get home from their annual month long spring break. So this year I went with them for a week and they took me. We all had the Piri Piri chicken and chips. That's half a chicken each all cooked on the grill outside fresh. You can stand and watch the production line of fresh chicken being laid onto grill racks and then basted in their sauces and spices then added to the fire grill, and moved along and turned etc until it's beautifully cooked, juicy and tasty, and brought to your table with chips. It is ridiculously priced, something like 7 euro each. The place is very big, has a really lovely local portugeuse feel to it, and is frequented by locals mostly, but some very lucky tourists also. There is also a queue of people outside sitting waiting for their take-out. After hearing about it for years, I was definitely not disappointed!! If you enjoy seafood this would be a great spot to visit in the Algarves. The bathroom has in good condition and had the paper towlels that are re-usable. I love the retro vibes and details of this place (see...

Nowadays, restaurants that do not accept cards and are cash only, we all know what that means and what they will do.
The food itself, is very mediocre. We had the 1/2 chicken and the pork (aka febras). We can say for sure that the food is salty, bland and dry. Prepare yourself to drink water all day/night.
The service... Oh boy, it's every man for itself. The waiters are rude and they will throw the menus and the food at you. Yes, at you...
The atmosphere is, flies everywhere, noisy and not welcoming for locals or Portuguese people. Which is a big red...
