I had the pleasure of dining at 'O Cais' and it was an absolute delight. The moment I walked in, I was greeted by a warm and inviting ambiance that set the tone for a wonderful evening. Cais was one of the only restaurants open in the town at the end of March when we visited. The restaurant was busy because of the lack of options during this time.

We waited to be seated for about 10 minutes, saw that the staff was busy and walked out. We searched the town for other restaurants and found that none of them were open so we came back here (and I'm glad we did!)

The food was wonderful and the portions were HUGE! My husband, who is a big eater, was unable to finish all of his food. I was barely able to finish a "small" portion of tuna picado. The prices were impressive considering the amount of food received. The food was seasoned well and served...

The place attracted us the most from the variation around for its simplicity & location with direct view to the ocean front! To say, what come next it was the real savor, all fresh ingredients cooked on the spot (not served before you finish the order), the dinner selection was made together with the service staff & pure honest in providing us local tips&tricks, nothing pushed or implying a compromise … we really felt blended with the locals, the attention we got was spot on & all come to a reasonable low price (for seafood category & island standard) … we left the place as friends & looking forward at some point to get back for some more...
