Nice place, very good espresso, pretty good fish sandwich, affordable prices.
Unfortunately, the whole experience was ruined by the waitress who was obviously bothered by our presence. They have pictures of various food on the wall but when I asked about it, she said it’s for a different place (although it said Chicago cafe on the same picture). So I asked her where is the place with that food to which she replied “far” 🤷♂️ Finally, she admitted they have fish sandwich so we got that. When we ordered espresso machiatto she brought some big mug which I suppose was coffee with water and poured milk. Didn’t seem to care when she saw out suprised looks and when we asked her what it was that she brought. Finally, I showed her picture of espresso machiatto on my phone and she was able to serve me that.

Read moreMy experience is that the staff is cheating on bills. Our first bill they asked 8.50 € - no ANY paper invoice was handed over to us. Then, I asked for printing one for me as 8.50€ was far too much for what we ordered. She printed out one receipt , the price come down to 7.20 €. I had a closer look on the invoice and I find out ,that they charged us too much again , there was different items that we didn't order. So I asked her again to provide invoice for what we actually ordered. The bill come down again to 5.30 € . My complaint is not to save few euros, I just simply believe, that the way how many places in Madeira cheating foreigners is simply awful,so greedy people.Whatsmore they very often not provide any paper proof of purchase, which is simply tax avoidance. Be...

Both good, but mystery fish was a bit fishier/saltier, which I enjoyed. Got the feeling the locals there didn’t care for tourists, but the young woman working was super nice, so it...
