Gate 23 Caffe — Restaurant in Machico

A hidden jewel under the Madeira airport runway, right between the concrete pillars of this architectural masterpiece! Gate 23 is chill-out open-sky bar with DJ. Drinks/cocktails/snacks selection is great. Prices are low and service is really friendly.

Just a tiny opportunity for improvement: the waitress (a super lovely person) had a misconception about what 'vegetarian' means, claiming there is no veg. snack in the menu (while there were great potato french fries and home-made butter bread). This got resolved, but it could've been a missed...

Я в шоці 😂🥲 Класна локація і місце, шкода що власник не слідкує за рівнем обслуговування. Якщо сюди вкласти більше свого ресурсу, то з цього бару можна зробити один з найкращих закладів на острові. Багато речей потребують ремонту. Я вчора перечепилась через дефекти в підлозі, добре що не впала😅. Каву мені принесли розлиту, судячи з поведінки офіціанта, для них це норма. На смак кава така, як і весь стан закладу… ледь на три зірочки витягує. Шкода, що так, бо в цього закладу...
