Well I'm really not used to complaining, but I feel this should be said, I told the waiter exactly the same. I ordered goat stew which I absolutely love and have eaten it before. I honestly think that the bones have just been put back into the pot and reserved. Such a disappointing meal, I've been travelling for the past 3 weeks and this is probably one of the most expensive and disappointing meals I've had. Cheesecake for dessert was delicious. But the goats stew... well very rich & tasty sauce, shame there wasn't any meat with it. I'm actually kicking myself this morning for wasting €25 on what might as well have been a vegetable stew. Restaurant was very quiet, there was another couple eating, and to be fair they ordered the meat skewers which looked delicious. Should have gone for the lamb shank, cant get away without meat with that.

Dined here as a family with both tourists & locals and we all really enjoyed the meal. After a week in Madeira and many Bolo do Caco’s we agreed here was the best one! The espada was perfect and both the tuna & beef espetadas really tasty. We also thought the milo was the best we’d had and I really enjoyed the roasted vegetables side as an exciting change to the norm. The service was excellent and the view, even at night, was amazing. A function here would be very special. Look forward to returning...

Fomos a este restaurante por recomendação de familiares. Éramos os primeiros clientes a entrar e, de imediato, notámos um cheiro intenso a peixe no ar; com o tempo acabámos por nos habituar, mas seria importante haver uma janela aberta para permitir melhor circulação de ar. O espaço em si é antigo e está visivelmente a precisar de uma renovação, embora tenha a vantagem de oferecer uma boa vista para a pista do aeroporto.

Pedimos três espetadas: uma de frango, uma de carne de vaca e uma mista “terra e mar”. Os acompanhamentos são servidos de forma individual, o que não facilita a partilha. Infelizmente, a qualidade dos pratos deixou a desejar. A carne de vaca, pedida em ponto médio, chegou quase crua e com muitos nervos; a espetada mista também veio mal passada, e a lula tinha uma textura gomosa, a ponto de não ser comestível. Solicitámos que fosse novamente à grelha para cozer melhor. O rapaz que nos serviu era muito educado e prestável, lá ouviu a nossa insatisfação. Provavelmente, por termos sido os primeiros clientes do dia, a brasa ainda não estaria suficientemente quente.

No final, recebemos um desconto relativo a um dos espetos, o que foi um gesto positivo da parte do restaurante. Ainda assim, a nossa experiência não foi satisfatória. Saímos não só desapontados com a refeição, mas também com cheiro a fumo impregnado na roupa. Cada cliente terá a sua perspetiva, mas, infelizmente, para nós não foi uma...
