Pastelaria Doce Camélia — Restaurant in Mafra

Great cafe. Gorgeous cakes and pastries. Friendly and helpful service.

The breakfast toast (quite a Portuguese thing apparently) was amazing: gorgeous bread, smothered in lashings of salted butter. What a treat! The pastries and sweets were delicious.

There’s also a restaurant upstairs, which we didn’t go to. But it must be good if the cafe is anything to go by.

Worth going to if you’re visiting the area...

Lovely patisserie, nice and fresh cakes, wonderful service despite that only counter serving and need to take a ticket to be served, haven’t tried the restaurant, but for what I was served in the patisserie I assume that is also of good quality, near to the Convent of Mafra with a few seats outside (weather permitting) it...

Cozy café with a nice atmosphere. I had a coffee and a slice of pistachio cake — everything was tasty. Although the edge of the cake was a bit dry, the overall flavor was very good. The coffee was great as well. Friendly staff and fast service. Excellent value for money....
