Very disappointed with food even tho staff was very nice and they allowed us to take big dog with us on the terrace part. I am gutted didn’t take pictures of food. Fries and fish which were definitely cooked in greasy oil and you could right away taste it on the food. From sea food prawns were nice, but squid was so greasy and unclean before preparing that I could not finish it. Even tho we are in the beginning of summer season and all the vegetables for salad are in season, tomatoes used in salad were either frozen or old. Could not even eat the salad. This restaurant was our go to when we wanted a good, plentiful Portuguese meal but this year we were disappointed with the service - the server was new and got very little help from two other servers who were just checking what he was doing and were not very helpful, we were at the restaurant around 18:30 hrs and ordered an appetizer mussels with a garlic sauce - those were very good then we asked for grilled sardines, big mistake, they had no taste and did not taste fresh. The plates were not changed and nothing was offered to clean our hands. Probably one of the best, if not the best, restaurant I've ever been to. The food is outstanding. Fresh fish caught just up the beach prepared in amazing ways. The staff are extremely friendly and the whole place is arranged in a way that is welcoming, warm and a pleasure to be in.
