Restaurante A Varina — Restaurant in Murtosa

Very expensive, most of the staff walking around without noticing the customers, the head waiter, instead of welcoming new arrivals, and being attentive to was happening in the restauraurant, he was serving customers, they should be friends of him... I had to wait 9 min, to have a table that was from the beginning available, and after 39 min to be served. Exception for a young woman and a beard young man, who were extremely friendly and always with a smile and attentive. Lack of organization, I know what I'm talking about; I had in the past, Snack, a Restaurant and a PUB. An employee of mine who didn't had a smile on his lips and attentive to the customers giving a glance at the customers, (with eyes on the floor), especially those who hadn't yet been served, would receive a notice the first time, and fired on the next. The oven-roasted octopus, on a bed of vegetables (!) on a portionfor two (37€ +/-) had four legs of octopus, two on top and two on the bottom, the top ones were almost cold and hard, the bottom ones hot and tender, accompanied by 9 potatoes, the largest of which were no more than 3 cm. Once and never again! PS - The manager wasn't at the till. I waited several minutes and the waitress (mentioned above) had to call the attention of the head waiter and him to the manager, who was also serving, who approached the till, I don't know what he did, and walked to another part of the counter, I followed him, turned to me and said, "Wait over there, and he pointed to the box" , bad...

Went there last night for dinner. Arrived at 8pm, got bread served in 10mins and ordered wine. That didn't come for another 30mins. We only ordered a main course. My meal arrived after 1 hour and 10 mins. Husbands didn't arrive until I went to see where it was. Turned out it was sitting ready inside the kitchen door. Not good enough. There was a table of 8 sitting next to us. 6 got served and the man had to go and complain that 2 still hadn't been served. The rest of the table had finished their meal before they got theirs. Place was packed. In my opinion they had taken on too many diners and not enough staff to cope with it all. Staff were very flustered. Not worth...

(10 year old kid review): The food was amazing and the view was awesome, the service was great even though it took a long time to come out. The bathroom soap was pink and smelled like bubble gum.

Adult review: we ordered the seafood rice with lobster (mariscada) and it’s the best I’ve had in many years (cooked fresh hence while it appeared to take a little longer). Our daughter got the shell steak which was phenomenal for a seafood restaurant. Other dishes looked great as well as they were being devoured by other guests.
