On first glance, the restaurant's exterior strongly resembles an industrial warehouse, nestled in an industrial area, its entrance saturated with a very unpleasant tobacco smell. Unfortunately, the parking facilities seem woefully inadequate, struggling to accommodate the constant influx of customers. This becomes particularly challenging during busy lunch hours and weekends. However, things take a turn for the better during dinner, especially after nearby businesses have closed. For those lucky enough to live nearby, using Uber for transportation is highly recommended.
Nevertheless, it's important to remember that appearances can be deceiving. The culinary offerings within this establishment surpass the expectations one might have for a typical Asian buffet restaurant in Lisbon. The menu features an impressive array of dishes that go well beyond just sushi. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the sashimi, which is served in limited portions and lacks in quality. On a more positive note, the grilled dishes shine; they arrive at the table exceptionally fresh and are prepared with just the right amount of seasoning. However, it's worth noting that patience is required here, as the service can be painfully slow; in my personal experience, it took well over an hour for my order to reach the table. When it comes to dessert options, while somewhat limited in variety, there is a selection of fruits.
Regarding customer service, beverage choices, and overall cleanliness, the restaurant seems to have these aspects well under control. The staff is efficient and treats all customers courteously. The fixed pricing structure for the menu items is reasonable, although beverages come with a slightly higher price tag, though it remains within acceptable limits.
All things considered, Oriente restaurant pleasantly surprised us, and we're eager to return for another visit. It's advisable to make a reservation...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at [Oriente Restaurant Buffet], a BBQ spot in [Location], and I left thoroughly impressed. The restaurant has a warm, rustic atmosphere with wooden tables and walls adorned with BBQ-themed decor, creating a laid-back and inviting vibe perfect for enjoying hearty food.
Food: I started with the brisket, which was incredibly tender and had a beautiful smoky flavor. The meat practically melted in my mouth, and the bark had just the right amount of seasoning. The ribs were another highlight, cooked to perfection with a slightly sweet, tangy glaze that complemented the rich, smoky flavor of the meat.
For sides, I tried the mac and cheese and coleslaw. The mac and cheese was creamy and cheesy, with a crunchy breadcrumb topping that added a nice texture. The coleslaw was fresh and crisp, providing a refreshing contrast to the heavier meats.
Service: The service was friendly and attentive. The staff was knowledgeable about the menu and offered great recommendations. My food was served promptly, and the portions were generous.
Value: For the quality and quantity of food, I found the prices to be reasonable. BBQ can sometimes be expensive, but [Oriente Restaurant Buffet] offers good value for money, especially considering the quality of the meat and the generous portions.
Overall: [Oriente Restaurant Buffet] is a must-visit for BBQ lovers in [Orinte]. Whether you’re a fan of brisket, ribs, or pulled pork, you’ll find something to love here. The combination of great food, friendly service, and a cozy atmosphere makes it a place I’ll definitely be...
Read moreThe Worsest place in Lisbon. I have been humiliated and heavily discriminated by the staff in this so called "restaurant", from the moment I stepped into this place. Unprofessional and inhuman comportment that I have ever met in my life. I am petite wamen and I used with the fact that people can have some sort of reaction when first see me, but what happened to me was completely unacceptable. Apart of the fact that staff at the door showed a very disgusting and, I would say, barbaric reaction, they called the other staff from the restaurant and were pointing at me and laughing. I was shocked. I asked to call the manager. While I was waiting I felt like I experience a nightmare. Staff at this place is so incompetent, they even do not speak Portuguese. They hardly could say 2 words, when tried to explain that manager is absent. So, if at any chance this review will reach the manager, please be sure and prepare for the complaint to the police and to the Directorate General for the Consumer in Lisbon for humiliation in public by the staff of the person with special needs. I would also mention that I have been "showed" to speak English rather...
