Bland, uninspiring and catered for the ones who have never experienced Southern-Asian cuisine or a Thai curry.
No one wants to read a long review. It was my first time here so I’ll give it a second go but so far, I’m not impressed.
The outdoor seat was comfy but not adjusted to the height of the table. Being inside on such a lovely Summer evening felt wrong so I stayed outside. The waiter was prompt to gave me a menu but fairly slow to take a drink order or any order. I eventually ordered some vinho verde (Portuguese green white), a shrimp tom yum soup and a chicken green Thai curry.
Utter disappointment, the tom yum looked like a red curry, it was a frothy red looking broth instead of the clear shrimp soup you normally receive. At 5.90eur, I wasn’t expecting much and the fish contained 3 shrimps.
Less then a few minutes when I was eating the starter, came the main course… I wasn’t keep on eating the entire starter to let the main cook down on the table so I gave it a go.
The dish looked yummy with the funny European basil on top. The vegetables in the sauce were carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, chick peas and some lime leaves and a few red chilled. Missed the courgette and the aubergine.
The all dish tasted rather bland and was disappointing. Didn’t feel the fish sauce if there was any.
The decor looks lovely though if you don’t mind the plastic plants.
I’ll give them another go trying...
Read moreThe restaurant was one of my favorite places before they change the management and the chef most probably too. The menu is more-less the same with some differences in the presentation and flavors of some dishes. From my view, the bibimbap is less yummy now for example . In my experience the best dessert is the thai jerrycream that is currently slightly different but, for three times I have been visited the restaurant expecting to order this dessert and every time they have told me that it is not available which has been quit dissapointing, even more because one of the waitress explained that the dessert is made locally, in the restaurant. Better to remove this dessert from the menu, its annoying messing with customer's...
Read moreI loved. The weather is not so nice, so we were willing to have some hot cozy food, and we ordered the Tom Yum noodle bowl. So tasty, full of flavor. Spicy to the proper level. The soup is very juicy, and the bowl is huge! For the dessert we shared a Mango Cheesecake (totally forgot to take a picture), but also a very nice presentation and taste, not too sweet. The restaurant mood is very nice, and the cutlery is so fancy!
Regarding the service, I believe the improvement would be about attention: waiters chatting behind the corner, took several minutes until someone would come to...
