Café restaurante 2 Manos — Restaurant in Olhão

I was looking for a quaint local spot away from the crowd. So, I took my bike and went inland towards Quelfes. For a few miles, there was nothing but then I saw the Dos Manos Restaurant, I remembered been told it was a good place. Now I wish I didn't remember. I noticed there was a stand for musicians but I figured that it might be a cool option. Although I do my best to speak portuguese, the waiter clearly disliked the fact that I was on my own and gave me a menu covered by a greasy sheet of plastic. Truely local. I ordered a grilled tuna steak which came so late that the little band had started playing, Bursting would be a better word. My steak came drowning in low quality olive oil that made its taste awful. I tried to talk with the waiter but she was attending big tables and did not answer, So, I left the exact change on the table and left as soon as I could, However the band played so loud that I heard it for miles going home. I wonder how the neighbours stand it, And I was starving on...

There is a lot of parking. Dinner meals with a drink cost around 16€ per person. The most expensive food option, when we were there, costs 20€.

It has better atmosphere than most traditional café restaurant bar combinations separated into different areas. There indoor and outdoor seating.

I highly disliked that their dog was allowed to disturb our meal; it would try to get things off the table, and it went under the table and upset some ladies.

Owners, please do not allow this! At least put up signs so clients know before sitting, that they might share their dining experience with your pet, and can choose not to go to your establishment if they are not okay with it...or if they are...

Absolutely everything here is incredible. The house wine is TOP NOTCH. Absolutely every morsel of food that entered our mouths was phenomenal, but especially the chicken— the chicken was some of the best I’ve ever had. Perfectly grilled, salted, tenderness. Truly cooked to perfection. Home-made fresh chips! The salad—simple but with amazing ingredients! The desert was incredible. The service is personal and attentive. I truly cannot recommend Dos Manos enough. We will definitely...
