Restaurante Costa Do Sol — Restaurant in Olhão

We were really looking forward to eating here, the food was well cooked but needed to have something extra. I ordered tenderloin of black pork which was excellent but there was only the meat on the plate with a very oily sauce and a small portion of boiled potatoes. If I'd have known I would have ordered a portion of vegetables or a salad but I didn't so I found the food boring , just eating mouthful after mouthful of meat. The waiter at no time when ordering suggested we might need some side dishes which was unfortunate. Service was slow taking the orders but the food arrived in reasonable time . It's not cheap to dine here, but also, it's not the usual portuguese cuisine . It's worth a visit but ask the questions we didn't ask about what you get with the dish. Also wine prices are high . Nice atmosphere, very relaxed, attentive service and food with a difference from the usual local fare of grilled anything with fries. I had the cod curry, my wife the prawn curry. Both very tasty. Also had the burger (a little too much sauce) and the crab curry (very little meat) on subsequent visits. Steaks also ok.
