What a great Portuguese typical restaurant or what they call a "Tasca" where locals go for good homemade Portuguese cuisine! I chose one of the dishes of the day "Beef Stroganoff" accompanied with rice and chips as recommended by Carlos, the owner/front of house and it certainly was well worth it as it was delicious and yummy! Rita his daughter was the chef and kept busy in the kitchen as this little gem of a restaurant tucked away here in Ourém quickly filled up with the locals for the lunch sitting. So competitively priced and the local red wine, olives and freshly baked Portuguese white Bloomer bread as starters got my juices all going for my lunch to follow. We had an amazing experience. All of the dishes were delicios, white wine was also good, even if I'm a very picky person when it comes to the wine. We had a nice cheese as an entrance. The service is slow as I could see with later guests, but for us it was good. The waiter was also very friendly.
