Just a short stroll from the beach, Restaurant Marlago blends a modern, easygoing vibe with warm hospitality — the kind of place that feels ideal for a sunset dinner after a day on the coast.

The interior is clean and contemporary, with a relaxed energy that suits the location. Service was friendly and unfussy, striking that balance between attentiveness and letting you enjoy the moment.

We started with a passion fruit sangria and a caneca of draft beer — simple choices, both refreshing. The grilled mushrooms (cogumelos salteados) made for a light, earthy starter.

For mains, we ordered the grilled sea bass (robalo grelhado) and cod loin with chips (bacalhau à moda). Both dishes arrived warm and well-prepared — the sea bass was clean and flaky, while the cod had a heartier, comforting profile that really worked with the crisp chips. No unnecessary flourishes, just good quality seafood cooked right.

At €60 for two, the meal felt fairly priced, especially given the setting and service. Marlago doesn’t try too hard — and that’s part of its charm. It’s a place where the view, flavors, and atmosphere come together naturally.

De facto o ambiente é muito bom, limpo, tranquilo, os funcionários são simpáticos. Mas é mais um restaurante que gosta de ganhar tudo de uma vez em vez de ganhar um novo cliente. Segundo a lei não podem cobrar o que o cliente não consumiu, eu não quis reclamar por 1,80€ das manteigas, mas demonstra má fé da parte do restaurante, pois é algo que cobraram e a seguir vão servir na mesa de outra pessoa. Achei as entradas pobres e muito caras, para o que já experenciei. Paguei tanto de entradas como do prato principal. Sim, só comi porque quis, mas nunca pensei que fosse ser tanto visto que era uma quantidade tão pequena. Em relação ao prato principal, a espetada de lulas é muito boa, mas nada que não se coma em outros sítios também. É um local a não repetir. Espero que melhorem isso no futuro, mas comigo não contam mais.

Aproveito para acrescentar, o que não era minha intenção, que um funcionário do restaurante chamado Daniel me abordou através do meu Instagram pessoal por esta minha crítica, inicialmente a desculpar se e posteriormente a acusar me de maldade e falta de humildade.
