A Cave — Restaurant in Penamacor

Great place with a Tiny Frontage. Goes back a long way in this Very Hilly and beautiful town. We went on 23rd and 24th December so a great atmosphere all around Penamacor which at midnight on the 23rd Dec was lit outside of the Church ,(called locally the Pisa of Penamacor ), the Largest bonfire in Portugal Maybe Europe too. It's huge with some of the largest tree trunks I have ever seen. These are given by the Boys of 2002 who , as they are now Men of 20years have to collect them from their or their fathers land. Can't fault this restaurant. The food was superb and came out very quickly. The service is great, lovely attentive staff. Fantastic value for money. House wine is good.
