ViRiDi — Restaurant in Penela

Despite COVID, I HAD a wonderful relaxing time. Firstly ViRiDi is implementing the safety regulations, regarding safe distancing, staff using masks, cleaning hands before entering and leaving and the number of clients at any time. Secondly, as always there is a variety of dishes on the menu to cater to all taste. Food is prepared according to order and the staff are very courteous. The atmosphere today was the kind of festive ambiance I love. I chose the Vegetarian tosta which came with a salad side dish of tomatoes and lettuce drizzled with balsamic vinegar. The dish was made of toasted grain bread filled to the brim with tomatoes and avocados on a bed of Hummus pate. The orange juice was freshly squeezed and the coffee was delicious. We stopped at this lovely restaurant for an unplanned lunch and are so glad we did! The restaurant itself had a great and open atmosphere and is family friendly as it is next to the park. The toasted sandwiches were amazing!! The ingredients were fresh and generous, the bread crispy and flavourful- it was gourmet and great value for money.
